The starting point is the hamlet of Villair di Morgex, where the trail begins by crossing the bridge over the Colomba stream. Immediately one finds oneself climbing along a steep paved mule track that challenges but also gives immediate panoramic views. Through the Forest and Vineyards
After a semi-flat section immersed in a deciduous forest, the trail heads toward La Salle for about 200 meters, then veers to the left. Here, the mule track makes its way among ancient vines, witnesses to a rich and deeply rooted agricultural tradition in the region. The trail then meets a farm road and continues to climb to the picturesque village of Château. Here, visitors are greeted by the remains of Châtelard Castle. The 18-meter-high cylindrical tower dominates the landscape along with traces of the city walls, evoking images of times past when these places were the scene of historical events.
