Alessandro Ansermé: beekeeper with passion and respect
BIO honey is produced by theAosta Valley beekeeping company Ansermé, which was founded in 2013 by the passion of its 25-year-old young owner, Alessandro. This company is located in Arnad, a small town on the outskirts of Valle d’Aosta, famous for its PDO lard.
“I approached this discipline a bit by chance,” says Alessandro Ansermé – I started by taking an introductory beekeeping course and then, little by little, I got hooked.”
Strongly fascinated by the world of bees, Alexander cares for them with dedication and works daily to ensure authentic and delicious tasting nectar.
Even after so many years, the business still focuses on absolute professionalism and the quality of its products, as well as the preservation and well-being of the bees themselves.
“Climate change, pesticide use, pests and intensive monocultures have endangered the lives of these very useful insects,” explains Alexander Ansermé – To protect the bees, I take them “on vacation” in the high mountains, in pristine landscapes and monitor their health through constant inspection of the hives located between Gressoney, Ayas, Champorcher, Champdepraz, Issogne and Donnas. Each hive is managed exclusively with natural and sustainable methods “.
Since 2013, Alessandro Ansermé produces exclusively 100% organic honey, which he obtains from hives far from any source of pollution.
Alexander does not use chemical agents, and these shrewdnesses of his are absolutely in line with his philosophy of respecting and protecting biodiversity.
What does it mean to produce organically?
Organic beekeeping is a farming system that is in tune with the environment, using production methods that exclude the use of fertilizers, pesticides and chemicals.
A food production can be considered “organic” when it adheres to specific principles: first and foremost, respect for environmental sustainability.
Alessandro Ansermé ‘s acacia honey is a product that, in 2016, obtained organic certification giving even more value to his business.
This means that Ansermé honey is an excellent product, obtained through a process that totally excludes elements outside those that nature provides.
Don’t miss this 100% BIO and genuine product from the new 2023 production! Organic mountain beekeeping respects the environment and promotes the normal life cycle of bees.
How does Alexander Ansermé produce the different qualities of honey?
To produce the different monofloral honeys, the Ansermé company practices nomadism: each year the bees go on “vacation” to the different production locations.
In spring, bees are taken to the Canavese countryside for acacia production; later, when the first warm weather arrives, the hives are moved to the mountains.
In Mont Avic Park (at Chevrère and in the Champorcher Valley) bees produce the fine mountain wildflower and rhododendron honey; in Val d’Ayas, on the other hand, bees are involved in the production of dandelion honey and in the valley floor of chestnut honey.
Alessandro Ansermé is a beekeeper in constant search of the best high-mountain locations, some as high as 1900 meters above sea level. It is also this nomadism that allows him to obtain honeys of extraordinary excellence, among the best that can be tasted in the entire Aosta Valley.
