{"id":32750,"date":"2023-04-11T15:48:40","date_gmt":"2023-04-11T13:48:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tascapan.com\/32750\/valdostan-wine\/"},"modified":"2024-12-03T15:04:55","modified_gmt":"2024-12-03T14:04:55","slug":"valdostan-wine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tascapan.com\/en\/32750\/valdostan-wine\/","title":{"rendered":"Valdostan Wine"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Marco Martin and the Wine of the Aosta Valley.<\/h2>\n\n<p>The <strong>Lo Triolet <\/strong>winery is located in <strong>Introd<\/strong> and produces one of the best wines in the <strong>Aosta Valley.<\/strong>\nThe winery is led by <strong><a href=\"\">Marco Martin<\/a><\/strong> and reflects the enormous passion for vineyard cultivation typical of the <strong><em>vignerons<\/em> <\/strong>Valle d&#8217;Aosta. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The winery was founded in 1988 <\/strong>with the intention of replanting the old family vineyards by planting <strong>an early variety <\/strong>that would ensure optimal ripening even at the <strong>800-900 meters altitude<\/strong> of the <strong>commune of Introd.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Production has increased from the initial 1,000 bottles to the current 50,000, thanks to the <strong>cultivation of vineyards<\/strong> located in several municipalities in the <strong>Aosta Valley.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Right from the start, the winery has enjoyed <strong>great success<\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"\/?pa_producer=lo-triolet\">Lo Triolet<\/a><\/strong> has grown considerably over the years, developing its interest in <strong>vineyard<\/strong> <strong>cultivation <\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>To date, the company of <strong><a href=\"\/?pa_producer=lo-triolet\">Marco Martin<\/a><\/strong> offers a wide range of labels including <strong>white wines<\/strong>, <strong>red wines<\/strong> and <strong>dessert wines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tascapan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/MG_8570_11zon-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"Pinot Gris Wine of the Aosta Valley\" class=\"wp-image-1975\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tascapan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/MG_8570_11zon-scaled.jpg 2000w, https:\/\/www.tascapan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/MG_8570_11zon-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.tascapan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/MG_8570_11zon-2048x1536.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/www.tascapan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/MG_8570_11zon-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.tascapan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/MG_8570_11zon-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.tascapan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/MG_8570_11zon-350x263.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2000px) 100vw, 2000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Winemaking: from grape to bottle<\/h2>\n\n<p>Winemaking <strong>consists of the process of biochemical transformation of grapes into wine and occupies a time frame from the harvest in September to the subsequent transformation of must into wine. <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>winery<\/strong> is where the &#8220;magic&#8221; takes place, that is, where the <strong>grapes <\/strong>are turned into <strong>wine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>The process goes like this: first, careful <strong>crushing of the <\/strong>freshly harvested grapes takes place, then the grapes are <strong>pressed <\/strong>following a <strong>maceration<\/strong> that lasts around <strong>10 days<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Next steps include <strong>racking<\/strong> and <strong>fermentation in stainless steel <\/strong>for <strong>12-14 days <\/strong>at <strong>25-28\u00b0<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Finally, the<strong>aging <\/strong>of the wine can be around <strong>8-9 months: <\/strong>for Fumin AOC, it takes place <strong>60%<\/strong> <strong>in <\/strong> <strong>French oak<\/strong> <strong>barriques <\/strong>and <strong>tonneaux<\/strong> and the remaining <strong>40% in steel barrels<\/strong>.
